At Seagate, we are proud to announce that SUSAN PARKER, M.ED., RHIA was recently elected to a brand new AHIMA leadership position, Speaker of the House, 2012.  This position was established as part of the approved AHIMA Bylaws last October at the House of Delegates business meeting. As Speaker, Susan will chair the House of Delegates, serve as the primary liaison between the House of Delegates and the Board of Directors, and serve ex officio with vote, as a member of the Board of Directors. Susan has served the HIM profession in a wide diversity of leadership roles over the past few years.  She has been president of two state HIM associations, receiving the Distinguished Member award twice and most recently authored a chapter on the profession in a primary Health Information Management Textbook. She has served on the AHIMA Board.  This dedication to the field has resulted in a rich network of professional contacts ready to go to work for you.
